On January, 29th we celebrate Day of the workers of fire protection. This job is not easy, because firemen rescue lives of people from fire elements, sometimes risking their own life.
During the last years there were any fire brigades in the villages of Khmelnytsky region, and their saviours in case of occurrence of fire were the firemen from the regional centres. However already on November, 27th, 2008 year in Mokiivtsy village has been opened a station of the local fire-fighting crew, which purpose is maintenance of safety of villages of Shepetivska area. This station was opened on the basis of machine-tractor station at the initiative of the chairman of board of «Svarog West Group» corporation A. Gordijchuk.
The fire brigade is equipped by the modern computer techniques; there is also an educational class there and a cosy restroom. The fire depot is provided by two fine-engine vehicles. The skilled drivers P.Filjuk and O.Beljanin are always ready to help in struggle against a flame work.
From the time of creation the local fire-fighting crew had a possibility to test themselves in work. In particular, in Lenkivtsi village has flashed hay in one of court yard, and the flame was extinguished by the local fire-fighting crew with fine-engine vehicles of rescue group of Shepetivska area.
In other case firemen have left in Mokiivtsy with a similar problem, and also liquidated one more fire – in one of inhabitants of the village have burnt the shed.
Also throughout 2008-2009 years the drivers of the fire depot were on duty directly during the harvesting, because there were concentrated a considerable quantity of grain-harvesting techniques and there could be a danger of ignition.
In general opening of station of a local fire-fighting crew is important for corporation and inhabitants of surrounding villages, after all safety always should be on the first place, especially when it is a question of rescuing of human lives.
